Woman denies murdering man at house in Bolton

A woman has denied murdering a man at a house in Bolton. Joleen Hulme, 35, has denied murdering Paul Dixon during a Manchester Crown Court hearing.

Ms Hulme, of Daisy Hill Drive, Adlington, appeared in front of a crown court judge via videolink on Monday morning. Cases at Manchester Crown Court are currently taking place remotely as part of social distancing measures imposed during the coronavirus outbreak.

Appearing via Skype, Ms Hulme was arraigned in front of Judge Patrick Field QC. She pleaded not guilty to one count of murdering Paul Dixon between December 29, 2018 and January 12, 2019.

Ms Hulme will now face trial, which is due to take place on November 2 this year. A pre-trial review hearing is due to take place on October 9.
