Woman bound and beaten up by burglars in her own home in horrifying attack

A woman was tied up and attacked in her own home before being burgled. Three men broke into the home on Taunton Road, in Sale, and attacked a 55-year-old woman inside.

The men tied the victim’s hand together before punching her in the body and face. They made off on foot with a quantity of stolen jewellery.

The woman managed to escape the house and called for help. In a statement, police said the victim’s injuries are not thought to be serious but she has been left shaken.

No arrests have been made. Greater Manchester Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch following the incident which took place on Sunday, March 15, at around 6pm.
