A woman attacked a fellow mum with a dog lead wrapped around her hand while she was picking up her child from school, a court heard.
Jordan Lawless appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday after previously pleading guilty to one count of wounding. Fiona McNeill, prosecuting, stated that on November 16, 2021, the victim Carla Hardy was waiting at the school gates to pick up her child.
At this point, she was approached by Lawless, whose child attended the same school. The 30-year-old said “look at me again or I will slash your face”, to which the victim responded, “what do you mean?”, the Liverpool Echo reports. She remembered tasting blood in her mouth but it was not till later when she realised she had been hit with a dog lead.” Another person saw Ms Hardy being hit with the dog lead, with Ms McNeill reporting that Lawless had been seen wrapping it around her hand before punching the victim.
