Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after schoolgirl, 10, found dead

A woman has been arrested after a young girl was found dead.Police launched a probe after the 10-year-old girl was discovered with injuries at a house on Robin Close in Rowley Regis, near Birmingham.Ambulance crews attended but the girl could not be saved.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at around 12.10pm on Monday. A 33-year-old woman, thought to be known to the girl, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

As reported by Birmingham Live, she remains in police custody for questioning.
