Woman, 20, dead in horror crash on Lanarkshire road

A young woman has died in a horror crash on a Lanarkshire road. The 20-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene around 4.30pm on Saturday, March 12 when emergency services arrived at the collision site on the A72 at Biggar.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, survived the crash but was taken to Wishaw General for treatment.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Sergeant John Houston told Lanarkshire Live : “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved at this time. “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and we are appealing to anyone who may have information that could help to get in touch.“I would ask anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the crash to get in touch.
