Willie Nelson Cancels Shows During 'Outlaw Music Festival' on Doctor's Orders

Willie Nelson is taking a brief break from the Outlaw Music Festival on the recommendation of his doctor. The 91-year-old country music star is one of several stars headlining the traveling music festival.

Others on the lineup include Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp. However, Willie‘s team revealed that he would be taking a few days off to recover because he was “not feeling well.” Keep reading to find out more… Taking to Instagram on Friday (June 21), his team issued a statement: “We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well and, per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days.” “He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week,” the statement continued.

While Willie was absent, the show continued with Lukas Nelson, Willie‘s son, and the Family Band performing some of the singer’s classics.

They also promised “a few guests.” The tour had scheduled performances on June 21, June 22 and June 23. It appears that Willie will be back in action by June 26.
