Glasgow City manager Leanne Ross has revealed her frustration with match officials that culminated in a clear-the-air meeting with refs’ chief Willie Collum.Ross had further cause for annoyance in Friday night’s 2-2 draw with Celtic when Amy Gallacher early opener came after Lucy Ashworth-Clifford encroached into City’s half as the game kicked off.
It follows on from City protesting after what appeared to be a legitimate goal was chopped off in their recent Scottish Cup win over the Hoops at Petershill.Friday night’s draw keeps City at the top of the table on goal difference with Celtic level on points.
But Ross said: “We could see that she was 20 or 30 yards into our half. The fourth official said there had been a communication breakdown between himself and the officials on the pitch.
But how three of them can’t see someone 30 yards into our half, I don’t know.“I have had a call with Collum on the back of the Scottish Cup tie when we had a goal disallowed.
