The Princess of Wales is constantly praised for the seamless way she has adapted to her senior royal role, whether it the relatable way she speaks to the public or the amazing amount of work she has put into her early years development work.
While Catherine rightly deserves this commendation, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond feels another key royal deserves huge credit for helping the Princess adapt.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, Jennie explains why The Prince of Wales' efforts to gently introduce his wife into the royal fold and how he now steps back to let her shine should be applauded. "Catherine has demonstrated in recent months and even years that she is the real deal.
I think her strength is drawn from the fact that she was given such a long apprenticeship," Jennie tells us. "Those nine or 10 years when she was allowed to see a little bit of what life will be like in the royal court were completely invaluable." She continues: "I suppose she seemed a little bit shy in the beginning.
