We have an official update regarding Robert Pattinson and his future as Batman in the DC Universe world. If you don’t know, Robert stars as the title character in The Batman, and the sequel, which is set for release in 2027. Robert‘s Batman is not considered to be part of the current DCU world, which is now helmed by DC Studios co-chiefs Peter Safran and James Gunn, and is instead considered a standalone project. Keep reading to find out more… However, you may not realize that there’s another Batman film in development to actually introduce the fan favorite character into the current DCU.
That film is titled Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and is in “active development,” according to Peter. James then shared an update that it seems “very unlikely” that Robert will star as Batman in that project.
He did say that the “new” Batman could appear in a project before Brave and the Bold is released, though. However, there is no Batman casting to announce. James said, “I wouldn’t rule anything out.
