Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
1. Does Scott Wright go straight into the Rangers team if he signs this month?KEITH JACKSON: He probably won’t walk into Steven Gerrard’s strongest starting line up but the Rangers boss utilises his attacking options across the front three.
That means Wright will get plenty of football between now and the end of the season if he makes the move now. CRAIG SWAN: Unlikely.
Rangers are flying and he would have to bide his time. Ryan Kent is going to attract offers, so having Wright in the building early is a good bit of planning. GAVIN BERRY: No.
If Rangers land him in this transfer window then it will be about finding his feet at Ibrox. He can get his chance off the bench and be ready to fight for a slot for the start of next season.
