In a news conference, Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter said an unnamed man and woman took a Lyft and dropped off their children at Cessna Elementary School in Wichita around 9:16 a.m.
When the kids went inside the building, things took a scary turn. Witnesses claimed he shot the woman in the chest. OMG! The woman “ran towards the school for help,” and he chased her before pointing a gun to her head.
Easter continued: Once the husband “stepped a little bit away” from his wife, Easter said the deputy fired two rounds, hitting the suspect.
