Wicked's Jonathan Bailey Attends Met Gala for First Time, Co-Stars Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo Miss the Event

The 35-year-old actor wore his shades while posing for photos at the 2023 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 1) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Jonathan is currently filming the upcoming Wicked movies, but his co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were unable to attend due to their schedules.
He is playing Fiyero! Michelle Yeoh, who was recently spotted on set as Madame Morrible for the first time, was at the gala and shared a cute red carpet moment with a famous comedian.
The theme of the Met Gala this year is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” and the event will honor the late fashion designer.
The dress code for the gala is “in honor of Karl,” who has worked at such fashion houses as Balmain, Chloé, Fendi, and Chanel.
