A number of police motorbikes and vans escorted two huge bridge beams through Bolton this morning. The 'very long' beams were transported from the town earlier today by HGVs.
They were taken to Greater Manchester's border with Yorkshire. Police said the transport 'took longer than expected' out of Bolton, but that there were no issues moving the huge beams.
Officers thanked drivers for their patience as they shared pictures of the beams on X, formerly known as Twitter, this afternoon. BLACK FRIDAY OFFER: Get three months of MEN Premium for FREE with our amazing Black Friday deal.
