Princess Eugenie was noticeably absent from the 'Together At Christmas' carol service at Westminster Abbey this week, an event that saw many royals rallying around Kate.This marked the Princess of Wales' first solo event of the year following her major abdominal surgery in January and subsequent cancer diagnosis reports the Mirror.Kate Middleton announced her gradual return to royal duties after completing preventative chemotherapy treatment in September.
This year's carol service theme celebrated those supporting others in need, emphasising love and empathy.Kate was accompanied by Prince William and their three children - Louis, six, Charlotte, nine, and 11-year-old Prince George.
Other royal attendees included the Duchess of Edinburgh, Lord Frederick Windsor, Zara Tindall and a pregnant Princess Beatrice.However, Eugenie, along with the King and Queen, did not attend.
It is speculated that Eugenie's absence may be due to her splitting her time between the UK and Portugal with her husband and two sons, August and Ernest.Her husband, Jack Brooksbank, is thought to be working in Portugal with Michael Meldman's Discovery Land Company.
