Josh O’Connor’s Prince Charles was mortified at her antics, but the sight of the Princess of Wales prancing around the stage to Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl only increased her popularity with those in attendance.
Believe it or not, the performance really did take place with Charles and Diana having performed together the year prior, potentially leading to Charles being less than thrilled to have been left out on this occasion.
Now, Diana’s dance partner and friend Wayne Sleep has opened up about how he still thinks of that night at the Royal Opera House.
