Matlock won’t be airing for the next two weeks, and fans might be wondering why. The Kathy Bates-led TV show quickly became a fan favorite after debuting earlier this fall on CBS.

However, it’ll be a bit before you can catch the seventh episode in season 1. So, why is the television series taking a two week hiatus? Keep reading to find out more… Tonight (November 21), Matlock will not be airing in its usual 9 pm timeslot.

Instead, this week, CBS is airing a TV movie, Nugget is Dead? A Christmas Story as part of some holiday programming. Then next week (November 28), the show won’t air a new episode as it’s Thanksgiving.
