The 26-year-old England forward was omitted from the 22-man squad that jetted off to Istanbul for an important Group A meeting at Rams Park.
It means Erik ten Hag will make at least one change to his side following a morale-boosting Premier League win over Everton.
Rashford was on target in that match as he converted from the penalty spot. It was only his second goal this term from 17 appearances across the board.
