Just over 12 months ago, Aro Muric was part of the Manchester City squad lifting the Carabao Cup at Wembley, having played a crucial role in getting the club to the final.
Now, the highly-rated Kosovan has gone 32 league games without kicking a ball on loan at Nottingham Forest in the Championship, having been dropped after just four appearances.
Although he was overlooked for the 2019 Carabao Cup final for Ederson, Muric played as big a role in the trophy win as anyone at Wembley.
Muric, recalled from a loan at NAC Breda to cover Claudio Bravo’s injury, had started all of City’s games in the Carabao Cup up until the final, playing a match-winning role in the quarter-final penalty shoot-out victory at Leicester.
