Why has Prince Philip been moved to St Bartholomew's Hospital?

has been transferred to St Bartholomew's Hospital in London after a 13 day stint in the private King Edward VII's Hospital. Buckingham Palace has confirmed the 99-year-old was moved so he could "undertake testing and observation for a pre-existing heart condition" at the NHS facility, which is a centre of excellence for cardiac care.

Prior to his transfer, the Duke was under observation at private King Edward VII’s hospital in Central London, though it is not known whether he was initially admitted because of this heart condition or an unrelated cause.

All that has been confirmed is that the Duke is responding well to medication provided for a non-COVID-19-related infection.
