Why Dancing on Ice's final has been cancelled after ITV's schedule shake-up

Anyone hoping to see their favourite celebs battle for the Dancing on Ice trophy will have to wait a bit longer before they find out who will take home the amazing trophy.

In a shake-up to its typical Sunday schedule, ITV has confirmed that the Dancing on Ice final will not air on Sunday 20 March, due to a scheduling conflict.The dancing show's finale has been pushed back by a week so the channel can cover the FA Cup quarter-final match between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.The football match is due to kick off at 5.15pm and coverage will be on ITV for three hours, meaning that the programme would clash with Dancing on Ice’s usual prime-time 6.30pm slot on ITV1.

However, to make up for the delay, fans of Dancing on Ice will be able to see the finalists battle it out in an extra-long episode next week.
