Popular presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have come in for some criticism on social media after fans of Saturday Night Takeaway noticed the pair weren’t two metres apart in the first of the new series.

Viewers took to social media to voice their concern as the rest of the country continues to be told to keep their distance from other households.

In practice they follow the same kind of steps that have allowed other TV shows to return to our screens even in a pandemic.
