Why '9-1-1,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' & 'Doctor Odyssey' Won't Air New Episodes Until March

There are three ABC TV shows that are on an extended hiatus: Doctor Odyssey, , 9-1-1, and Grey’s Anatomy.

Many TV shows go on hiatus from December into January for the winter holidays. However, these three ABC programs will then continue their hiatus for several more months. Keep reading to see more… This hasn’t been officially confirmed by ABC yet, but often, when shows opt to take longer breaks over the winter, it means when they finally do return, they can air the remaining episodes of the season largely uninterrupted until the season finales in May 2025.

If they returned earlier in the winter, viewers might have had to see some reruns here and there. All three shows will return on Thursday, March 6, 2025 with new episodes.
