Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield’s TV double-act appears to be coming to an end - but who do YOU think should replace the golden couple on This Morning?

Despite the duo putting on a united front on the ITV breakfast show, rumours have surfaced suggesting the close pals’ friendship has become strained.

In response to the allegations, Phillip released a statement that addressed claims about the pair “barely speaking” off camera and that their rumoured issues have been going on “for some time”.The host shared: “We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.

Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her.” However, GB News presenter Dan Wootton told the Daily Mail: “After months of controversy and drama surrounding This Morning's male presenter, I can reveal Holly is now preparing to pull the plug on the partnership, leaving troubled ITV facing a major new crisis.” The broadcaster highlighted that ITV bosses face “losing the biggest female star on British television” or “cutting ties with Phillip and agreeing to pair Holly with Alison Hammond”.
