Phillip Schofield has left This Morning after more than 20 years, as he shared that he was concerned about the show “becoming the story" amid rumours of a rift between he and co-host Holly Willoughby.

Holly, who will remain as one of the hosts of the flagship show, paid tribute to the star and said: “the sofa won’t feel the same without you.” Although plenty of fans are disappointed by Phillip’s departure, which reportedly came after a lengthy and growing feud with Holly, they’re also keen to find out who will be taking on the role as his replacement.
