ITV bosses would cast their net wider when they picked Jeremy Clarkson as the host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Broadcaster Jeremy, 62, joined the revival of the series in 2018 after Chris, 75, left in 2014 following the quiz show's debut in 1998.

And television personality Ingrid, 67, who split from Chris in 2007, says she'd rather have seen someone totally different from Chris on the popular show.

She told the Daily Mail's Richard Eden: 'I'm not often complimentary about Chris but he was absolutely brilliant.  'They've gone for that same kind of man, a bit portly, a bit jowly. 'Ingrid and Chris met in 1984 and went on to tie the knot in 1991 before welcoming two children - Sammy, 30, and Toby, 26.

In 2006, Ingrid became suspicious Chris was cheating and hired a private investigator, who went on to uncover the TV star's 10-year affair with primary school teacher Fiona McKechnie.  Video: Soap stars dating in real life (Digital Spy (UK))The Quarry gameplay trailer (2K Games)True Detective season 4: All you need to knowHayden Christensen on returning as Darth Vader | Obi-Wan Kenobi5 Things You Didn't Know About Tess Daly and Claudia WinklemanThe United Way - Official TrailerRiverdale: 9 of the weirdest, cringe-inducing stories so far!
