The diver, 27, was awarded his first-ever Olympic Gold Medal earlier in the tournament in the synchronised 10-metre platform event.
Daley will be competing for another medal today (August 6) in the individual Men’s 10-metre platform event. Once dubbed the "baby of Beijing" as one of the youngest athletes at the 2008 Olympic games, Daley is now a husband, father and an LGBTQ+ activist.
A year after the London 2012 games, where he won a bronze medal, he came out as gay in a video on YouTube, which has been viewed more than 12 million times.
