Sam Darnold has had a huge year as the quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings! The 27-year-old starter will be playing in a major NFL game this evening (January 5) against the Detroit Lions.
This game has playoff implications, so we’re guessing many will be tuning in to see who will be the favorite in the NFC conference.
Whoever wins today’s game will win the number 1 seed in the NFC conference, meaning the winner tonight has homefield advantage going into the playoffs and is only 2 wins away from the chance to play in the Super Bowl.
In addition, the winner of tonight’s game gets to take next weekend off to rest and gameplan. The team that loses tonight has to play in a playoff game next weekend (January 11, 12, or 13), and they won’t get homefield advange as it would be an away game.
