President-elect Donald Trump‘s inauguration ceremony is happening shortly. A preview of a program from the inauguration provided by reporter Matthew Foldi on Monday (January 13) revealed who is performing at the event, set to take place on January 20 in Washington, D.C. Trump‘s first inauguration ceremony in 2017 featured performances from the Radio City Rockettes and Jackie Evancho, a former America’s Got Talent runner-up. The 41-year-old “Cowboy Casanova” country singer is set to perform “America the Beautiful” alongside The Armed Forces Chorus and The United States Naval Academy Glee Club at the 78-year-old’s forthcoming inauguration ceremony.
A member of the President-elect’s transition team confirmed Carrie‘s participation to Axios. Carrie first won American Idol Season 4 in 2005.
She is now one of the best-selling music artists of all time, selling over 85 million records worldwide with hits like “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats.” The musical prelude for the event will be performed by The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Combined Choirs.
