Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian mum who was detained in Iran for nearly six years, has been released from prison.
Both Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe and fellow detainee Anoosheh Ashoori are believed to be heading to Tehran airport to leave the country.
Tulip Siddiq, Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s MP in Hampstead and Kilburn, wrote on Twitter: “Nazanin is at the airport in Tehran and on her way home.” The Foreign Office has not commented on the reports and earlier Boris Johnson said negotiations about Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe were “moving forward” but “going right up to the wire”.
On Tuesday (March 16) it emerged she had been given her passport back in what supporters hoped would be a major breakthrough.
