It’s that time of the year again when we find out about all the contestants who will be entering the Love Island villa, and obsess about who we think will couple up with who.
However, this year one contestant, in particular, has stood out as he is the first, ever islander with a disability to be heading into the villa.
Hugo Hammond from Hampshire is a PE teacher and cricketer, and he was also born with a club foot, but he has never let his disability hold him back, especially when it comes to his sporting career.
Speaking about his disability, Hugo explained: ‘I was born with clubfoot. I had lots of operations when I was a kid. You can only really tell when I walk barefoot.’ He added: ‘I’ve got a really short achilles heel.
