WAG and TV personality Coleen Rooney is taking part in this year's ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. Coleen Rooney, 38, is best known for being the wife of football legend Wayne Rooney, 39.
The pair met when Coleen was just 12, and they married in 2008. In 2019, Coleen became caught up in widespread media attention due to the ‘Wagatha Christie’ scandal, where she accused fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, who also appeared on a series of I’m A Celebrity in 2017, of leaking stories about her to the press. The Wagatha Christie case, Vardy v Rooney, has since been turned into two TV dramas. Channel Four released the two-part drama Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama in 2022 and Disney+ released the three-part documentary Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story in 2023.
Coleen is set to receive a whopping £1.5million for taking part in ITV’s hit show I’m A Celeb, it has been reported. It would make her one of the highest paid contestants in the show’s history.
