Carl Mullan was announced as one of the new Breakfast Show presenters on RTÉ 2FM after months of speculation. The comedian had stepped in when Eoghan McDermott left for a handful of shows, leading fans to believe he would get the permanent position.
Thankfully, it was good news for Carl as he will take up the mantel officially on May 31 alongside Donncha O’Callaghan and Doireann Garrihy.
Doireann celebrated Carl’s 30th birthday in January 2020 and after a year devoid of shindigs, listeners enjoyed the craic they brought to the airwaves when they teamed up on the upbeat breakfast broadcast.
The Dubliner was challenged by Doireann to come up with a cover version of Van Morrison’s tune Days Like This and serenaded the station’s early morning
