Announced back in 2020, fans have been eagerly awaiting the latest news on the Disney+ adaptation of the beloved fantasy novels Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
In a significant new update, it appears the upcoming series has found its Percy – The Adam Project star, Walker Scobell. The project is based on the incredibly popular novels by award-winning author Rick Riordan, who originally announced the series' development on the Disney+ social media channels.
In a statement on his website, Riordan said: "Walker Scobell is an incredibly talented young man who blew us away with his audition tapes for the role of Percy." In a press release, Disney stated that the series "tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who's just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.
