A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

Biden poked fun at journalists, Republicans, Rudy Giuliani and even himself, but delivered some of his best lines about Fox News.“I know there are questions about whether we should gather here tonight, because of COVID,” Biden said. “Well, we’re here to show the country that we’re getting through this pandemic.
