When no one had heard from Kimberley McAssey on February 21, 2021, it was entirely out of character. The 29-year-old enjoyed spending time with her friends, sharing a drink with them on occasions.

Ryan Sheridan, 30 at the time, was known to some of Ms McAssey's closest friends. Nicola Ryan, who lived in the flat above Ms McAssey on Cuckoo Lane, described him as a 'drinking buddy' who lived in a 'doss gaff'.
