Following UEFA's one-off multi-nation host tournament in 2021, the next European Championship will return to normal procedures and revert back to the one-nation host setting.
Germany, who crashed out to England at Euro 2020, have been chosen to host the event in the summer of 2024. They beat Turkey - the only other nation to bid - in the race to host the tournament.
This will be the first time the country hosted the European Championships as a unified nation after West Germany hosted the tournament back in 1988.
