LIV Golf have been blamed for for allegedly stirring up rumours about Rory McIlroy considering a massive switch to their tour - with some believing it to be a distraction before the Masters Tournament.

City A.M speculated that McIlroy was on the brink of striking a colossal £682 million ($850m) deal with LIV. If true, this would represent the most significant move yet in golf's ongoing struggle between professional circuits.

However, by Tuesday, McIlroy dismissed these assertions, re-stating his commitment to the PGA Tour.In an interview with Golf Channel, he stressed, "I think I've made it clear over the past two years that I don't think it's something for me," continuing, "That doesn't mean I judge people who have gone and played [LIV Golf]."
