The first trailer to actress Daisy Edgar-Jones’ eagerly-anticipated film Where the Crawdads Sing was released on Tuesday, promising a haunting treat for viewers.
Based on the 2018 bestselling novel of the same title by Delia Owens, the upcoming adaptation features the Normal People star in a completely different setting to that of Dublin, Ireland, she was seen in the BBC series.The film, produced by Reese Witherspoon’s company Hello Sunshine, takes place in North Carolina and follows character Kya played by Daisy — who sports a convincing southern accent in the clip — as she is left to fend for herself after she’s deserted by her family.
