EastEnders is finally back on our screen for it's 'second series'. Show bosses were forced to call final orders at the Queen Vic when they ran out of episodes to air earlier on in the summer.

For the first time since it launched in 1985, EastEnders was taken off the TV schedules and left a gaping hole in our lives.

But after enduring an agonising few weeks without our dose of Albert Square action, the popular BBC soap returned this week in a typically explosive manner.

Big changes had taken place, a bombshell secret was exposed and their was a tragic death that had everyone in tears. As we embark on the second coming of EastEnders, it's the perfect time to look back at what happened to the original cast.
