When Paul Pogba left Manchester United as a teenager on a free transfer in 2012, few expected him to return years later. When he did, it was for £89million in a huge 2016 transfer, and you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who would believe he would once again be allowed to walk out the door with his contract expiring.
But that is exactly what could happen this summer. From January 1st 2022, Pogba will be able to speak to any club he wants outside of England and United will have to sit back and wait for the Frenchman to make his mind up.
Real Madrid and Juventus are the most likely destination should the 28-year-old decide his future lies away from Old Trafford once again.
