Do you remember Brookside? The Channel 4 soap had people glued to their seats when it launched in the eighties. The show first aired in November 1982 and ran for 21 very dramatic years.

It featured the first pre-watershed lesbian kiss, tackled alcohol and drug abuse as well as dealing with incest storylines. And we can’t believe that it’s over!

So, where are the stars of Brookside now? Anna Friel as Beth Jordache Despite appearing in Brookside for just two years Anna is definitely the break-out star of the show.
