Aqua, best known for their 1997 multi-platinum single Barbie Girl, are still touring but it's not all been plain sailing for the much-loved Danish-Norwegian Europop music group.
From band break ups to love triangles this trio - which was previously a four-piece - has gone though it all. The band first broke onto the scene in the late 90s, with one of the most iconic tracks of the decade - you're lying if you don't know the chorus off by heart.
Bandmates Søren Rasted and Claus Norreen formed the group in 1989 under the name of Joyspeed. Later on they met and hired René Dif to produce a soundtrack before then enlisting the vocal skills of Lene Nystrøm who René, 54, had seen previously watched perform on a ferry.
Although their first attempt at making a techno-fused anthem failed with Itzy Bitzy Spider it did help the band move into their now-famous 'bubblegum pop genre'.This was when they decided to rename the band Aqua.
