manchestereveningnews.co.ukBy Friday morning, Brits will know who will be running the country after the UK heads to the polls for a general election. Vote counting will get underway as soon as polls close on Thursday night with the first results arriving not long after.
The exit poll will give the public an indication of how each party has performed - but the full results will take several hours to come in.
All 650 constituencies are expected to declare their results between around 11pm on Thursday and 7am the following morning, but there's a good chance we'll know the overall picture by the early hours of Friday, as the majority of results will be landing between around 3am and 5am. Results in key battlegrounds will be a good indicator of whether the opinion polls have been accurate leading up to the election.
