The transfer window is just around the corner as clubs across the Premier League prepare to do their mid-season business. And with the title race wide open, January could see a flurry of business as rivals aim to make the move that could be the difference between success and failure.
Manchester United and Man City may well be among those sides seeking to add to their squads. Last year, United added a trio of loan signings in Wout Weghorst, Jack Butland and Marcel Sabitzer while City paid just over £8million for Máximo Perrone who made one Premier League appearance and is currently on loan at Las Palmas in Spain.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea were among the bigger spenders in the summer and could get the chequebook out again while Aston Villa are enjoying a fine campaign under Unai Emery and may look to strike while the iron is hot.
The likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham may look to bolster their ranks in a bid to secure Champions League football for next season.
