Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) will make a long-awaited return in season two of The Witcher on Netflix. The new series is expected to resolve some of the cliffhangers left at the end of series one (2019), which starred Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan.
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich explained the large gap between the seasons by saying that they wanted to "make sure that everyone on our team gets the time to do their job and do it to the best of their ability." "So we're making sure we have a lot of built-in cushion time for season 2 so we don't cram anything in at the last minute." The series will be released on Friday, December 17 on Netflix.
