The UK and the European Union have reached a Brexit trade deal less than a week before the final deadline. Politicians and experts now have more than 1,200 pages of legal text to read after the document was published on Boxing Day.

But what does the deal mean for your money - and will it leave you richer or poorer? Some things will change for UK residents on January 1, however the key thing is that tariffs won't be imposed at the border.

This means we shouldn't see price rises on items such as food, clothing, cars and more. Travellers will need to renew their passport to get into the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein if it expires within six months or is more than 10 years old, which costs between £75.50 and £85.
