Lewis Capaldi (born 7 October 1996) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. In March 2019, his single "Someone You Loved" topped the UK Singles Chart where it remained for seven weeks, and in October 2019 it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. On 17 May 2019 he released his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which remained at the top of the UK Albums Chart for six weeks.

Lewis Capaldi was muted by Brit Awards bosses during his sweary speech but we can reveal what he actually said in the uncensored version.

The Someone You Loved global charttopper was at the O2 Arena ceremony on Tuesday night to hand out the award for Best Album.

After being introduced by host Jack Whitehall as "the Buckfast Adele", Lewis swaggered on stage shouting "shut up...shut up" before saying: "hello motherf***ers," as the sound was swiftly muted and distorted noises played over the top of him.He added: "I'm f***ing sweating," and the audio was cut again with viewers at home left guessing at what he said.However a video has now emerged online of Lewis' unbeeped speech in full.Lewis said : "I'm f***ing sweating here.
