During a brief interview between songs performed on ABC’s GMA Summer Concert Series today, Underwood was asked “what kind of judge” she’ll be, hard, soft, something in between? “I have a problem,” she answered. “I can’t lie.
I feel like I’ll be very honest but hopefully I’ll also be very constructive and encouraging.” When GMA‘s Sam Champion suggested he can’t imagine her being too hard on contestants, Underwood seemed to agree, saying, “Oh gosh no.
Just ask my kids.” Watch the GMA interview and her two musical performances below. Idol announced earlier this week that Underwood will take over for Katy Perry, who’s leaving to focus on her music career.
