Manchester City welcome Burnley to the Etihad on Monday night as they look to delay Liverpool ’s title celebrations just a little longer.
Reigning champions City returned the action last week when they played their game in hand against Arsenal. Pep Guardiola’s side ran out 3-0 winners, and now entertain a Burnley side who went into the weekend sitting firmly in mid-table.
Wednesday’s win over Arsenal put reigning champions City 22 points behind Liverpool with nine games left to play. Jurgen Klopp’s men need a maximum of two wins from their remaining Premier League games to end City’s two-year stint as champions.
