Last time Liverpool welcomed Chelsea to Anfield the pair played one of the games of the season. Despite no fans, and Liverpool having already secured the title, Jurgen Klopp's side ran out 5-3 winners before going to pick up the Premier League trophy on The Kop after the final whistle.
This year the mood is quite different at Anfield. Klopp conceded the title last month, and the Reds are currently 22 points behind leaders Manchester City, and fighting just to get into the top four.
Chelsea are one point and one place better off than their rivals, currently sitting fifth in the table. The Blues are unbeaten in their first seven league games under Thomas Tuchel, though their last two fixtures have ended in draws.
